Assembly hangar 35
The old. The new. The future.
Took a short hiatus and have begun assembly of new models in the factory. New and partial worked models will be released soon. Check back for changes and release information.
Managed to release a few fighters that I was able to complete and check most of the kinks that I ran into since deciding to release them. I hope to release more as soon as I finish painting more and at some point release blanks if there is demand.
After a little "hiatus" as the excuse I always use when I get lazy or just uninspired, I decided to dive right into making or remaking a lot of my models that I have released or created but no have had the chance to publicly post them. I'll give a little rundown of what has changed. Besides these samples I am updating other aircraft with very few or barely noticeable changes. I've been working on the F-19 (LORAL Version) stealth fighter that was speculated when the F-117 was still classified. I've also been working on the bell shaped version (Specter) which I am making as the attacker version of the F-19 since the other version was somewhat designed to be the interceptor/fighter. LORAL at one point looked like it wanted to make a sub-orbital model that seemed to be a high altitude fighter (which Project FUNK was working on) and I decided to remodel the aircraft to look a little more streamlined and still maintaining the original shape that VFX Staff had made. I am proposing making both fighter and attacker models of the F-19 while changing the name of the aircraft and making sub-orbital versions as well which looks like Northrop LORAL based the livery on the Space Shuttle Orbiter complete with anti-friction reentry tiles. Proposed Northrop LORAL F-19 Based on the models made by LORAL, FUNK and my own liberty on the aircraft I have modified it to have an over slung booster fuel tank and booster auxiliary engines. It's armament will be original missiles based on terrestrial based models on the AIM series called (Space Intercept Missile) SIM-4 Meteorblaze. While the aircraft is a sub-orbital space interceptor it may carry (if I'm not lazy to make) some medium range missile. At the moment the aircraft is still being tested as its DAT isn't quite finished and has sections that need work due to the change in the model from its original.
The next set in this release will have a few aircraft that I have had my eyes on for a long time. The FSW-3 from Super Air Combat III (PC) warranted a new redesign and a little bit of liberty with weapons and external hardpoints. This one includes a simple cockpit based on the one shown in TopGun for NES by Konami. Another up on the release schedule is the XF5U-1 Flying Pancake. I solely based this model off of drawings and some scale models with an addition of making the hook visible and animated as it had such a unique configuration. This one will have a few weapons upgrade and a special "edible" paint scheme. Another on the release includes the reworked Eurofighter Cyclone F1, based on the Typhoon's WWII paint scheme and a variation of the YF-23 designed to look futuristic and modern at once. The last on the list is the SRM-99B Stheno, based on a drawing of a friend from long ago and modernized to look like its space faring contemporaries the Strega and GeoSword. These four will compliment the release of Season 1, Phase 2.
So I managed to release a few models but I admit they were a lazy attempt except one. That one being the FU-2 Liberty created by Fighter's Unlimited (a police friend's "company" from a tabletop game from long ago). I also finished the SRM-99B Stheno. And with it am working on other aircraft that will soon release for Phase 2 (v1.2). I may release the Stheno in 1.2 provided I can figure out some minor details regarding weapons and a flight envelope.
After I stopped being lazy I finally decided to move the release set to this website. All future releases will go here but development updates will continue on other pages time permitting.
Along with the opening of the Download Store is a new, original built fictional fighter from a friend of mine. This work was provided long ago but finally put into production after a long hiatus and abolishing of laziness. Published my own page (let's try this again, eh) so I can have a little more freedom when making models and have a bit more feedback when making stuff. Feel free to look around even though there's not much to look at for the moment.
